Calling all parents! How many of you have a thermometer that can take a reading in 2 seconds (I'm not exaggerating) and can sync the results to your phone? The Philips Avent Ear Thermometer can! The next generation of thermometers is here and just in time for flu season! No more struggling with your little one and a rectal thermometer, frantically searching online to figure out what a “normal” temperature is, and then dealing with the mess that follows (all you parents know what I’m talking about… and for those new parents, using a rectal thermometer is usually followed by a dirty diaper, a dirty thermometer and a crying baby… sometimes a crying parent too). The Philips Avent Ear Thermometer (which can be used on babies, children AND adults!) is a no fuss thermometer that can sync via Bluetooth to your phone using their uGrow Baby Development Tracker (and I PROMISE it’s easy to use)! I've partnered with Philips Avent and PTPA to try out this thermometer and am so excited to share my personal experience with it after using it for a couple weeks (I found it to be so cool that I tried it on Zane, myself and even my husband!).
Using it is as simple as: Putting in your little one's ear, pressing a button, and waiting 2 seconds! You hear a beep and can read a clear, concise reading that is tracked and recorded on the uGrow Baby Development Tracker when you sign in (its measurements were shown to be accurate to ± 0.2 °C or ± 0.4 °F)! The best part - your baby will still be smiling and won’t be trying to free themselves from your grasp when it’s done! There is no guessing as to whether the reading is high or low - the thermometer button will turn red if it detects a temperature higher than 38.0°C (100.4°F)! And because the temperature is tracked and recorded, you don't need to try to remember each reading. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve taken Zane's temperature and by the time I’ve cleaned up the mess and gotten him back to sleep, I forgot what it was, or I've searched online only to find 10 different websites all with their own definition of what temperature is considered a fever. The uGrow Baby Development Tracker covers it all and it’s a great tool for doctor’s visits too! I love that I’ll be able to pull out my phone and show my son’s pediatrician EXACTLY how his fever progressed. The uGrow Baby Development Tracker doesn't stop there! It also allows you to track your baby’s eating patterns, dirty diapers and sleep patterns, all of which are especially important when they’re sick.
I LOVE this product and love that I can use it on me and the hubby too! Sometimes my husband is more of a baby than my son is so this thermometer will be a saviour for our marriage.
