This year I’m spoiling my guests with my homemade buffalo and coleslaw sliders on King’s Hawaiian pre-sliced Slider Buns! You can find the slider buns in the deli/bakery aisle fo your local grocery store and they are a total game changer for any gathering! There are so many different recipes you can make that are Game Day worthy, such as Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sliders, Pulled Pork and Coleslaw Sliders, Mac n’ Cheese Sliders (and the list goes on). Your only problem will be choosing just 1 recipe to make! I’m sharing my easy Breaded Buffalo Chicken Strip recipe below that you can pair with a fresh coleslaw for the perfect Game Day set up.

Ingredients

2 packages of King’s Hawaiian pre-sliced Slider Buns (this is my go to brand because they’re slightly larger than the traditional dinner rolls and the flavor is just mouth watering). You can find them in the deli/bakery aisle fo your local grocery store.
1 and 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts cut into strips
6 cups corn flakes cereal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1/4 cup (60ml) milk
1 cup buffalo wing sauce
2 cups of coleslaw
Blue cheese dressing
6 pickles (sliced)

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut chicken breasts into strips

  2. Place the corn flakes, salt, pepper, garlic powder into a food processor to crush and mix the corn flakes. Alternatively, you can do this in a bowl with a large spoon or your hands if you don’t have a food processor. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together. In a third bowl, add the flower.

  3. Coat each chicken strip in flour, then in egg and then roll in the corn flakes mixture. Place the coated chicken strip on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the chicken and flip the pieces over. Continue baking until the outside is crisp and the centers are cooked through (approximately 10 more minutes). Baking times vary, so when in doubt, take one of the larger pieces out and test it by cutting it in half. If it’s not cooked, put it back in for a few more minutes.

  5. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet and then add to a bowl. Coat the chicken in the buffalo wing sauce and mix well.

  6. Open up your King’s Hawaiian pre-sliced Slider Buns and top them with your preferred toppings! Pickles, coleslaw, blue cheese dressing etc.

  7. Add in your coated chicken strips and ENJOY!
